5kV Epoxy Resin Transformer Bushing | 2200A–4515A, 75kV BIL
Designed for high-current transformer connections, this epoxy resin bushing combines a C11000 copper conductor with a high-performance epoxy insulation body. It is rated at 5kV, with current ratings from 2200A to 4515A, depending on the configuration, and a Basic Lightning Impulse Insulation Level (BIL) of 75kV.
The bushing complies with CAN/CSA-C88-M90. Indoor and outdoor versions are available on request to suit different transformer installation requirements.
Key Features
Tin-Plated C11000 Copper Connections
The stud and spade assembly uses C11000 copper with silver-soldered joints and a tin-plated finish. The copper conductor supports efficient current transmission, while tin plating helps protect connection surfaces against oxidation.
High-Performance Epoxy Insulation
The gray epoxy insulation body provides electrical separation between the conductor and the transformer tank. A strike distance greater than 100mm and a creepage distance greater than 215mm support the bushing’s insulation design.
Enhanced Sealing at the Conductor Interface
Special treatment at the interface between the stud and insulation body strengthens this critical sealing area. The design targets a service life exceeding 20 years, with the interface treatment intended to help prevent leakage during long-term operation. Actual service life depends on installation, loading, and operating conditions.
Aluminum Alloy Mounting Clamp
The aluminum alloy clamp secures the bushing at the transformer tank wall. The specified tank hole diameter is 77.8mm (3.06″). Mounting and connection dimensions should be checked against the product drawing before installation.
Indoor and Outdoor Options
The bushing can be supplied in indoor or outdoor configurations according to customer requirements. Its specified operating temperature range is −40°C to +130°C.
Optional 90° Internal Spade Orientation
The internal spade can be configured with a 90° rotation on request, allowing the connection orientation to accommodate the transformer’s internal conductor layout.
