This switch is suitable for oil-immersed power transformers with a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz, a rated current of 63 A or less, and a rated voltage of 35 kV or less. The flange of the tap changer can be mounted directly onto the transformer tank cover or tank wall to facilitate voltage regulation. When operating the tap changer, the transformer must be disconnected from the power grid, thereby placing the transformer in a de-energized state.
